ATTENDANCE INFORMATION

Firstly, thank you for supporting our festival and booking tickets. We have had a great response and are really looking forward to a festival of feeding our heads!

Following is some information to help make your time at the festival a wonderful experience.

Venues

There are four venues for the festival, with the Tathra Hall and Tathra Uniting Church located next to each other as the venues for all the ticketed sessions. The Tathra Hotel is a short walk down the road and hosting the free program. The Tathra Beach House is located at 57 Andy Poole Dr. The full program is on the website, but we will also have printed programs available at the festival.

Parking is available along Bega Street and at the Hotel parking area. Note that the area in front of the hall will be reserved for disabled parking and there is also a disabled parking spot in front of the church. Both venues are wheelchair accessible and there is a disabled toilet at the hall, as well as at the hotel.

Cush for your Tush

In the interests of comfort, please note that the chairs available in the Hall are standard plastic stackable ones. You may like to bring along a cushion to put on your chair if you feel your in-built padding could do with some assistance.

Weekend and Day Passes – Pick up

If you have booked either weekend or day passes, you will be given a wristband that will allow you access to all the hall or church sessions, excluding workshops, The Magic Lantern, and VOICE. You can pick up your wristbands at the start of each day from the ticketing tent which will be located at the front of the Hall. If you are attending the Friday opening event, you can also pick up your wristband from the Candelo Books pop-up shop in the Hotel.

Individual Sessions

If you have booked individual sessions, your name along with the number of tickets, will be on a list at the door. Feel free to also have proof of your purchase, however it’s not essential as we will have you on the list.

If you decide to attend additional sessions while at the festival, there will be tickets available at the Hall ticket booth and the bookshop, for any sessions that are not booked out.

Hotel Program

You may have noted the free program of events that is running all weekend at the Tathra Hotel. There are no bookings required for this program, but please REGISTER FOR THE FREE STUFF HERE. We are hoping for a focused audience in the main bar area, but as usual with this venue, it is open to people who are just there for meals and drinks as well. If you are planning to have lunch or dinner at the hotel, we would recommend booking directly with them on (02) 6494 1101.

Bookshops and Book Signings

Candelo Books will have three pop-up bookshops at the festival - one in the Hall, one in the Uniting Church, and one in the Hotel. All of the featured writer's books will be for sale at the bookshops and EFTPOS is available. Authors will be available for book signings immediately after their session and many will be 'hanging around' at other times during the festival.

Eating out

There are various cafes and restaurants in Tathra for meals, coffee and snacks. Check out the Trip Advisor list HERE. There’s also the Friendly Grocer just across from the hall and Tathra Beach General Store down the hill.

Health

Please reconsider attending the festival if you are not feeling well!
